Some of the most common questions we are asked are listed below. If you can't find an answer to your question here, then please contact us using our contact form.

How long does it take to create the website?
The timescale of the project is generally dictated by the client.
The most common delay in the creation of a site is waiting for content (text/images) to be sent to us by the client. If you have a deadline in mind we will endeavour to meet it for you.

What happens after the work has been completed?
We will look after all aspects of your domain name registration and web hosting. We do provide future website updates. More details about the Site Maintenance services on this page.

What is a domain name?
A domain name is a specific web site address that you choose and register with the Internet Authorities. Our domain name is "digitaltouch.co.uk".

Do I need to buy a domain name and hosting?
No, we do everything for you.

I've made my decision - I want you to design my web site.
Now what do I do?

If you have decided you want a web site or have any questions, simply fill out our web design quote request form to start the process.

How much will it cost?
The cost of a website varies depending upon the type of site you require. We provide various packages, including Single page site, Brochure site, Client updateable site and e-commerce sites. We request a small deposit in all cases, payment can be made by cheque or by using Payal. Prices are available here.

Once my site is built, how will people find my site?
What a great question! Your web designer could create the perfect web site for your business, but what good is that site if no one knows it's there? All of our site proposals include optimisation of your site's code and content for search engines. We also submit your site's information to all of the major search engines upon completion.

What will my on-going costs be after launching my site?
On-going costs will vary depending on your specific use for your site. These costs will likely include hosting fees, site updates and maintenance, and domain name renewals.

How can I keep track of the traffic at my web site?
You will have access to statistics that will tell you how many visitors you have had, what time they visited, what part of the world they are from, how long they spent, which of your pages they viewed, etc. This is a service that is essential to promote and build a successful web site.

How can Digital Touch offer such competitive prices?
We have low overhead costs and avoid frivolous expenses.  Much of the expense involved with web site development is based upon a high labor rate by the designing and hosting companies.  £50/hr and up is common. These companies typically pay for extensive office space, expensive computer networks and excessive software. Digital Touch doesn't have all of these expenses, we are made up of freelance specialists who operate relatively independently.

Do I have to come to your office to get a website?
We can design a website for you no matter what part of the world you live in. There are several ways you can send us your information.  If you already have digitised photos and text files, i.e.. Word documents and gif and or jpg images, you can email them to us.  If not, you can post us the information that you want on your website.

If I buy a website from you do I own it?
Yes, once the website is complete you own it.  Our clients are not obligated to host with us (even though most do) and are always free to have anyone they want work on their website.

What can I do to drive additional traffic to my site?
Promote your site. Let other people know it's there! Include your web address (URL) on your business cards and letterhead. Mention it in your tv, radio, print, and outdoor advertising. Have your URL lettered on your business signs, door, and company vehicles. Put it in the signature line of outgoing e-mails, in letters, and in direct mail campaigns. Show your URL on promotional merchandise (shirts, key rings, or other items).
